gridlined was eventually diverted to

grid_lined, which, unlike the parent sandbox, has a specific setting and internal canon. Some time later, the sandbox was moved to Dreamwidth, where it exists in its current incarnation,

grid_lined. Unless otherwise noted, all interactions are post-Legacy and contain the usual spoilers. Some inconsistent plots were retconned out and *coughtheRinzleronecough* may continue or be referred to elsewhere.

After Ram brings Tron back to the City from the Sea of Simulation....
Ram encounters Gem on the shore.

Characters begin to pour in from the Portal. Ram goes to End of Line to ask Tron about this, and also encounters Yori (for the first time), Sam Flynn, Clu, and Flynn himself.

A second Tron emerges from the Sea of Simulation; Tron rescues him and Ram -- whom the new Tron hadn't seen since the old system -- comes over to meet him.

At various times he starts to get to know some of the new residents and visitors in the city, including Gradient, Lizor (aided by Yori, whom he's told about the second Tron), and Ed Dillinger.

A meeting with Jazz at the newly open Arena is interrupted by Rinzler. Ram helps Jazz through the trauma afterwards, and then returns to the Arena to talk with Tron. EPIC ANGST occurs.

Gridbugs are a constant problem. Tron, Rinzler, Lizor, and Sky fight them alongside Ram, and he manages to rescue Nicholas Claggert, a User, from their hideous clutches.

But amazing things also happen -- like ZackAttack visiting the Grid!

Yori is a good friend; Ram often talks with her about the state of the System.

The Portal works both ways. Flung unexpectedly into the User world, Ram encounters Papri and an older ZackAttack at Flynn's Arcade.

With gridbugs so much more numerous than they'd been previously, it isn't long before Ram and Tron have to fight them again.

A conversation with Quorra by the seaside leads to some unexpected revelations.

Sometimes Ram just likes to cut loose and invite other programs out for a lightcycle race.

The arrival of a second Rinzler takes Ram by surprise, but not so much as the arrival of a second Ram -- one who doesn't remember knowing Tron.

Teaching Gem how to control her disc is an interesting experience.

For a while, Flynn remains elusive. There's a brief meeting in the Outlands, but that's all. ZackAttack remains likewise unpredictable.

Rinzler has trouble balancing his new directives when new ISOs like Aadi appear; Ram helps when he can.

Lightcycle races are fun, ok?

Some Trons arrive worse off than others.

Grid statistics are exhausting sometimes; at one point, Ram falls asleep on the train.

Ram decides to learn that parkour thing Rinzler does, encountering many of the Grid's inhabitants along the way.

Ram's parkour efforts leave him looking a bit silly when he nearly falls on Boomer's head.

When a new Rinzler attacks the Grid Ram sticks by ZackAttack during the cleanup.

Rinzkitty returns

After the explosion, Ram worries about the Rinzler he saw at the scene.

Tiny-Sam finds the Grid. There's difficulty believing it's the same user.

Another Rinzler arrives. Less conversation, more close calls.

Rinzkitty is a lot more two-legged now.

Yori's back. Reunions, plans, and analyses.

Ram sends a warning out about the latest violent Rinzler. Talks with Tron and Flynn; others stop by. Replacement baton obtained.

Another Rinzler. Ram's just lucky that way.

Sam Flynn's back. And (still) injured.

Trillian's rerezzed on the Grid. Reunion-time!

Programs are disappearing; there's unrest. Ram visits friends.

Krypton rerezzes. Sharing unpleasant history.

Orange balls from the sky! Yori and Ram play with oranges.

Tron's overstressed. Ram stops by to talk.

Rinz is reverting. Hugs and memories.

Younger Alan on the Grid! Ram (and Roy) jump in to say hi.
